Project Overview (Introduction)
Launched in June 2024, this three-year initiative supports the reintegration of homeless children and vulnerable young mothers into society/family in a sustainable manner. It promotes healing, stability, and empowerment through multi-sectoral support and collaboration with key partners.

Objectives / Goals
To contribute to the eradication of youth marginalization in Addis Ababa by sustainably reintegrating homeless children and vulnerable young mothers into safe family and community environments, while equipping them with life skills and opportunities for long-term growth.

Target Audience / Beneficiaries
Primary beneficiaries include homeless children and vulnerable girls, especially GBV survivors. Indirect beneficiaries include staff at reintegration centers, caregivers, parents, and the wider community through improved child protection and empowerment systems.

Methodology / Approach
Through targeted health, nutrition, and gender training; capacity building for reintegration centers; financial literacy and leadership programs; and family-focused income generation activities, the project offers a comprehensive support model. N4ED specifically leads in delivering training and workshops for beneficiaries and reintegration centers staff as well as and supporting young women’s savings initiatives.

Impact / Expected Outcomes
Reintegrated youth will gain improved physical and emotional well-being, education, and life skills. Caregivers and institutions will be better equipped to provide ongoing support. A community-centered, sustainable reintegration model will be strengthened.
