We support households with pregnant and lactating women to have as much impact as possible during the first 1000 days. We improve caregivers’ knowledge, desire and self-confidence to avoid malnutrition in their households.
We also support women’s groups by enhancing their knowledge, skills, financial literacy, and access to income-generating activities through different educative programs and access to opportunities. This ensures their capacity to control their destiny, reduces vulnerability to economic dependency, and enhances their ability to make decisions independently.
We also focus on bringing sustainable and innovative solutions to challenges we observe at the grassroots level so that our approach is informed by the reality on the ground and acceptable by the communities. In this manner, we equip communities with tools leading to the economic as well as social empowerment of women and households in general.
In parallel to our main activities, we address other urban groups with shorter interventions focused on nutrition, child feeding behavior, women’s rights and Gender-Based-Violence. We also use mainstream and social media to raise awareness and change the general public mentality on these issues.
