Kids Giving for Kids – One Planet’s Car Wash Fundraiser (Round Two)
Project Overview (Introduction)
For the second time, One Planet International School and N4ED partnered to host a “Kids Giving for Kids” car wash fundraising event. This joyful and purposeful initiative was designed to involve students directly in making a difference while raising funds for the Integrated Child Development Center, a vital project aimed at supporting marginalized families.
Objectives / Goals
- To raise funds for the construction of the Integrated Child Development Center.
- To engage students in a hands-on philanthropic activity.
- To promote the value of community-driven solutions to address early childhood development challenges.
Target Audience / Beneficiaries
The event involved One Planet students, staff, parents, and the wider school community. The ultimate beneficiaries are children and families from underserved communities who will gain access to health, nutrition, and early learning services through the new center.
Methodology / Approach
Students and volunteers provided car washing services within the school compound. Parents and staff participated enthusiastically, turning the event into a lively day of teamwork, giving, and shared purpose. The activity offered a meaningful and fun way for children to contribute directly to a larger cause.
Impact / Expected Outcomes
The event not only raised funds but also strengthened community ties and instilled a spirit of generosity and social responsibility among the young participants. It brought the vision of the Integrated Child Development Center one step closer to reality.
