Joint Action to Promote Equality, Peace, and Healing in Ethiopia

Overview:

This project is a collaborative effort by a consortium of Eurika, N4ED, and IDS—three Ethiopian CSOs linked through the “Sew Mehon Alliance”. It aims to contribute to a more just and peaceful Ethiopia by empowering communities, strengthening grassroots organizations, and supporting survivors of SGBV. With a focus on gender equality, human rights, and peacebuilding, this 36-month initiative covers 6 target areas from the country’s north to its south and from west to east, connecting through the capital and harnessing community-driven solutions for lasting change. Financed by the AFD – Agence Française de Développement and backed by a wide circle of stakeholders, the project will enhance the capacity of grassroots leaders, equip them with the tools to solve their own challenges, publish innovative books that celebrate everyday Ethiopian heroes, and deliver direct, holistic support to SGBV survivors.
