COVID-19 Emergency Response: Food and Sanitary Product Donation

Project Overview and Objectives

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, N4ED launched a short-term emergency support program to aid vulnerable families affected by economic disruptions. The project focused on food security and health protection for existing beneficiaries and other marginalized peri-urban households.

Target Audience / Beneficiaries

Low-income families, particularly those already enrolled in N4ED programs and others in peri-urban areas severely impacted by the pandemic.

Methodology / Approach

In partnership with the youth-led initiative “COVID-19: Let’s Protect Each Other,” N4ED distributed food ingredients and hygiene materials. The initiative aimed to reduce exposure risks and alleviate food insecurity caused by income loss.

Impact / Expected Outcomes

Improved household food access, nutritional intake for infants and children, and reduced COVID-19 exposure through fewer risky outings.
