Taste Week with Alliance Dire Dawa

Project Overview
In November 2018, during French Taste Week, N4ED partnered with Alliance Française Dire Dawa to promote nutrition and hygiene among children and mothers in Jerba’s peri-urban community through interactive and educational sessions.

Objectives
To improve knowledge and practices related to balanced diets, child feeding, and hygiene among children, parents, and pregnant/lactating women.

Target Audience
110 beneficiaries including 45 primary students, 20 kindergartners, 30 toddlers’ parents, and 15 pregnant/lactating women.

Methodology
Workshops, discussions, demonstrations, and games focused on nutrition, handwashing, school meals, maternal health, and food diversification.

Impact
Raised awareness and improved nutrition and hygiene practices across multiple age groups; empowered parents to reinforce healthy behaviors at home.
