Strengthening Capacity through Social and Behavioral Change (SBC) Training

Project Overview

N4ED, in collaboration with its partners, held a tailored training session on Social and Behavioral Change (SBC), delivered by Senior Technical Advisor Haile K. (MPH, MBA). The training was designed to enhance the capacity of staff and stakeholders in integrating SBC principles into community programs and advocacy work.

Objectives / Goals

  • Equip team members and partners with foundational and practical SBC concepts.
  • Improve the design and delivery of behavior-focused interventions in nutrition and education.
  • Foster collaboration and shared learning among geographically diverse teams.

Target Audience
N4ED staff from Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa, volunteers, and partner representatives from Mekele, Gonder, and Arba Minch attended the training.

Methodology / Approach
The training combined in-person and virtual formats, ensuring inclusive participation. The session included presentations, case discussions, and contextual applications of SBC strategies relevant to N4ED’s mission and programs.

Impact / Expected Outcomes
Participants gained practical tools and renewed perspective to design effective, culturally relevant programs that promote positive behavioral change. The shared learning environment also strengthened inter-regional collaboration and organizational learning.
