Strengthening Our Safeguarding Culture: RSH Essentials Training

Project Overview (Introduction)
N4ED successfully completed a 3-day Safeguarding Essentials training facilitated by the Safeguarding Resource & Support Hub (RSH). This training marked a significant milestone in our commitment to ensuring safety and accountability across all our programs, teams, and partnerships.

Objectives / Goals

  • To build internal safeguarding capacity among staff, volunteers, and partners.
  • To ensure all team members understand key safeguarding principles, reporting mechanisms, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • To integrate safeguarding across all organizational levels and activities.

Target Audience / Beneficiaries
Participants included N4ED’s staff, active volunteers, and partner representatives working directly with our target communities. 

Methodology / Approach
The training was delivered over three intensive days using participatory methods. It included interactive sessions, real-life case scenarios, and practical guidance tailored to the Ethiopian context. The training provided a foundation for implementing robust safeguarding procedures organization-wide.

Impact / Expected Outcomes
The training enhanced awareness, confidence, and capacity across teams to identify, prevent, and respond to safeguarding concerns. It laid the groundwork for a safer, more transparent, and responsive working environment that protects all stakeholders.
