Enjera Business – Group B, Wereda 9 Torhailoch Area

Project Overview (Introduction):
Group B Wereda 9 mothers, part of N4ED’s mothers’ program in Torhailoch area, has officially opened their dedicated enjera production and sales space. This facility includes modern and traditional stoves, a preparation section, and a sales counter. The launch ceremony welcomed representatives from the Australian Embassy and Kolfe Keranio Sub-city/Woreda 9, marking a significant step in empowering local women entrepreneurs.

Objectives / Goals:

Enable mothers to run a profitable enjera business.

Enhance food production capacity and service to the community.

Foster independence and resilience among women in the program.

Target Audience / Beneficiaries:
Mothers participating in N4ED’s livelihood programs in Torhailoch area, and local residents seeking freshly made enjera.

Methodology / Approach:
Through collaboration with Kolfe Keranio Woreda 9, N4ED secured and prepared the working space. With funding from the Australian Embassy and EthiopiAid, the group received the necessary equipment, setup support, and basic training for running an enjera production and sales operation.

Impact / Expected Outcomes:

Reliable income stream for Group B – Wereda 9 members.

Increased confidence and self-reliance for women entrepreneurs.
