Empowering Frontline Responders & CSOs to Deliver Survivor-Centered GBV Services in Ethiopia

Project Overview (Introduction)

This project strengthens the quality and coordination of gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response systems in Ethiopia. Implemented by N4ED in partnership with Eurika Yebego Adragot Dirigit, it supports frontline responders and civil society organizations (CSOs) to deliver consistent, survivor-centered services. The initiative focuses on improving practical application of national standards, coordination mechanisms, and service delivery across seven regions: Addis Ababa, Tigray, Amhara, Oromia, Afar, South Ethiopia, and Gambella.

Objectives / Goals

  • Strengthen the capacity of CSOs and regional actors to apply national GBV standards in their work

  • Enhance staff well-being through trauma-care and psychosocial support
  • Strengthen coordination and referral systems across sectors and regions

Target Audience / Beneficiaries

The project targets frontline GBV responders and organizations working in prevention and response. This includes health workers, police officers, social workers, legal professionals, and CSO staff supporting survivors.
