Project Overview (Introduction)
We empower vulnerable youth in Yeka Sub-City, Addis Ababa, through inclusive breakdance, fitness, and mindset coaching. By creating safe spaces for girls and boys, youth with disabilities, and marginalized young people, the project promotes confidence, gender equality, and community unity turning talent into opportunity.
Objectives / Goals
To promote social inclusion, gender equality, and sustainable opportunities for vulnerable youth in Yeka Sub-City through inclusive breakdance, fitness, and life-skills coaching.
Target Audience / Beneficiaries
The project directly supports 40 vulnerable youth (15–25 years old) in Yeka Sub-City, including street-connected youth, young women in vulnerable situations, youth with disabilities, and other at-risk youth.
Methodology / Approach
The project combines inclusive breakdance, fitness, and life-skills coaching. Youth are grouped in mixed crews to build teamwork and confidence, guided by professional coaches. Community showcases and a final street competition promote inclusion and unity.
Impact / Expected Outcomes
The project empowers youth, promotes inclusion and gender equality, and creates new opportunities through breakdance, life skills, and community engagement.
