Project Overview (Introduction)
N4ED participates in recurring pop-up markets through a partnership with Shop Local, as part of their corporate social responsibility support. These markets provide a platform to raise funds by selling donated items, including new or gently used goods contributed by supporters and partners. The initiative offers a simple and community-driven way to mobilize resources in support of N4ED’s programs, particularly the Integrated Child Development Center, with potential to support other initiatives such as safe shelter services.
Objectives / Goals
To raise funds through community-based sales, promote a culture of giving and reuse, and create accessible opportunities for individuals to contribute to social impact initiatives.
Target Audience / Beneficiaries
The primary audience includes community members who attend and purchase items at the pop-up market. Indirect beneficiaries are vulnerable children and mothers supported through N4ED’s programs, including the Integrated Child Development Center.
Methodology / Approach
N4ED collects sellable items—such as clothing, jewelry, handicrafts, paintings, and other goods—from donors. These items are then curated and sold during organized pop-up market events. The approach encourages community participation through both donations and purchases, creating a circular model of support.
Impact / Expected Outcomes
The initiative generates flexible funding to support ongoing projects, strengthens community engagement, and promotes sustainable practices through reuse and collective contribution. It also builds awareness of N4ED’s work among wider audiences.
Timeline
Conducted multiple times throughout the year.
