The $5, €5 and 50-Birr Campaign: Building an Integrated Child Development Center in Addis Ababa

N4ED is proud to launch the first of two fundraising campaigns to support the establishment of our Integrated Child Development Center. Located in Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-City Wereda 12 Health Center, Addis Ababa, the center will address the critical needs of children under five in marginalized urban communities by providing access to early childhood development, nutrition, and health services. The initiative has secured a 380m² plot of land, marking a major step forward in realizing this transformative vision.

The Bubbles Project: Fundraising and Global Awareness Through Youth Action

The Bubbles Project, initiated by our founding partner Michelle Muller, is a creative fundraising and awareness initiative launched in 2018. In collaboration with primary schools in Switzerland, children decorate and sell “Magic Bottles” filled with water to raise funds for Nutrition 4 Education & Development (N4ED). Beyond fundraising, the project inspires empathy and global responsibility in young learners by connecting them with the realities of children growing up in marginalized communities.

Enjera making business for Mothers in Kaliti – Koye Area

After nine months of persistent effort, a group of mothers in Kaliti sub-city’s Koye area officially launched their multi-product store. The journey from obtaining a free premise to securing utilities and legal registration as business owners was filled with challenges, yet the determination of the mothers and N4ED’s dedicated team made it possible. The store will offer injera, bread, condiments, and vegetables, with future plans to serve hot meals, coffee, and tea. Its strategic location between condominium apartments and near a large factory positions the business for strong community demand and growth.
